3-Head: small breakfast bar or 2-seat dining. 5-Head: standard 4–6-seat dining. 8-Head: 8-seat dining or open-plan kitchen/living. 12-Head: great rooms, lofts, double-height stairwells (12+ ft ceilings). 15-Head: hospitality lobbies, restaurant statement pieces, large entry foyers. Bigger isn't always better — pick by both ceiling height and room scale. A 15-head in a normal 10-ft-ceiling dining room overwhelms; an 8-head in a 20-ft lobby underwhelms.
For the industrial-loft aesthetic shown: vintage filament Edison bulbs in clear glass — G80 or G125 (large globe shape), 4–6W LED filament, 2200–2700K warm amber color. Brands like Philips Vintage, Feit Electric Filament, or Ferrowatt all work. Max 40W incandescent or LED equivalent. Avoid frosted/opaque bulbs — they hide the filament glow that makes the look. Buy enough for all sockets plus 2–3 spares (test bulb is included but only one).
The hook rings let you adjust drape style at install. Three popular patterns: (1) Symmetric fan — all bulbs at equal lengths, equally spaced around the canopy. (2) Cascade — bulbs at varied heights, longer cables in center, shorter at edges (or vice versa). (3) Organic asymmetric — random drape positions for a more sculptural look. The assembly video walks through each. Once anchored at the hook rings, the arrangement holds permanently.
Yes — head counts above 15 are made to order. Email support@vakkerlight.com with your ceiling height, install location, and desired count. Custom configurations add 2–4 weeks to lead time and require structural verification of your ceiling. Beyond 20 heads, we recommend splitting across multiple junction boxes for safer load distribution.
Each cable is 59″ (150 cm) standard — adjustable per-bulb at install (you control how far down each bulb hangs). For taller ceilings (12+ ft), request extended cables before ordering. Specify desired length (e.g. "100 inches per cable" for stairwell installs). Adds 1–2 weeks to lead time. Email us before placing the order so we can confirm feasibility for your configuration and head count.
