Inspiration

The Spirora Wall Sconce is a sculptural Italian-modernist sconce — a square metal backplate with overlapping spiraled triangular petals fanned in front, around a mirror-chrome bulb at the center. Three colorways: Lavender Purple, Terracotta Orange, or Cream White. Single 5W E26 LED. For a hallway, bedside, dining wall, foyer, gallery wall, or accent corner. Mid-Century Modern, Italian Modernist, Space-Age, retro, and bold-color style.

Good To Know

!
1 × E26 LED bulb included (5W, high-CRI) · mirror-chrome bulb recommended for photographed look · 3 colorways · hardwired · indoor dry only Body and petals are iron metal with a powder-coat finish. The fixture takes a single E26 medium-base bulb (5W LED included, high color-rendering) — the bulb is replaceable, not integrated LED. The product photographs show a silver-tipped “mirror-chrome” G45 globe bulb — this is the bulb that gives the central reflective look you see online; if you want that exact look, pair the sconce with a silver-tipped G45 chrome LED (widely available on Amazon and at lighting retailers; not included by default). With a standard A19 LED the central look is more subdued. Approximate backplate size: ~11″ (28 cm) square · please confirm exact dimensions with us before ordering. Hardwires to a standard junction box; have a licensed electrician install. Indoor, dry locations only.
Key Features

Spiraled Triangular Petals
Three layered metal petals rotated relative to each other on a square backplate — reads as a static spiral, casts a layered shadow on the wall when lit.
Mirror-Chrome Bulb Look
Designed around a silver-tipped chrome G45 globe bulb — the chrome reflects the colored backplate back into the room, giving the sconce its signature retro look (pair separately for full effect).
Three Bold Colorways
Lavender Purple, Terracotta Orange, or Cream White — pick a saturated retro color for a maximalist gallery wall, or Cream White for a quieter mid-century look.
Available Colorways

Three powder-coat colorways — choose at checkout. Same dimensions, same petal composition, same E26 socket across all three; only the painted color of the backplate and petals changes.

Colorway A
Lavender Purple
A muted lilac-purple powder coat — reads bold but soft, pairs with cream walls, brass hardware, and 1970s-leaning interiors.

Colorway B
Terracotta Orange
A warm burnt-orange powder coat — reads punchy and retro, pairs with white-oak floors, terracotta tile, and mid-century furniture.

Colorway C
Cream White
A warm off-white powder coat — reads quiet and sculptural, lets the petal-fan geometry do the work without adding color.

Use Case

The Spirora is built to be looked at — the spiraled petal geometry catches the eye from across a room, and the mirror-chrome bulb (recommended separately) reflects color back into the space. Best as accent or mood lighting; the 5W LED gives a small intimate light spread, not enough to replace a brighter overhead fixture but plenty to bring warm presence to a corner. The sconce sits flat against the wall with the petals fanning forward, so the depth from the wall is modest — fits hallways and tight gallery walls where deeper sconces would feel intrusive.

The three colorways serve three different rooms: Lavender Purple in a quiet powder room or beside a master bed for soft retro character; Terracotta Orange in a Mediterranean kitchen, mid-century dining wall, or eclectic-maximalist gallery wall; Cream White as a quieter sculptural sconce that still reads architectural in transitional and Scandinavian rooms. Pair two as a symmetrical set — flanking a mirror, console, headboard, or doorway — or use a single piece as a focal point on an asymmetric gallery wall. Pairs well with oak millwork, brass hardware, terracotta tile, raw plaster walls, vintage furniture, and 1960s-70s textiles — fitting Italian-modernist hallways, mid-century master bedrooms, space-age foyers, retro-leaning eclectic interiors, and bold-color statement walls. FAQ

Which colorway should I pick?
Pick by the rest of the room. Lavender Purple reads bold but soft — works in powder rooms, master bedrooms, and 1970s-leaning interiors with cream walls and brass hardware. Terracotta Orange reads punchy and retro — works in Mediterranean kitchens, mid-century dining walls, and maximalist gallery walls with terracotta tile or warm-oak floors. Cream White reads quieter — the petal geometry does the work without adding color; fits transitional and Scandinavian rooms. Pair two as a symmetrical set flanking a mirror, headboard, or doorway; use a single piece as a focal accent.
What’s the chrome bulb shown in the photos? Is it included?
The photos show a silver-tipped “mirror-chrome” G45 globe LED bulb — the mirrored half-dome on the front of the bulb reflects the painted color of the backplate back into the room, which is what gives the sconce its signature retro look. By default, we include a standard high-CRI 5W E26 LED bulb, not the chrome one. To get the exact photographed look, pair the sconce with a separately purchased silver-tipped G45 chrome LED (also called “half-mirror” or “silver-bowl”) — widely available on Amazon, Lumens, Bulbrite, and lighting specialty retailers. Search "silver-tipped G45 LED E26." Max 5–7W LED, no halogen.
Can the petals rotate or be adjusted after install?
The petals are fixed in place at the factory — the spiral fan you see in the photos is the final orientation. The three triangular layers are riveted or screw-mounted to the backplate so they don’t shift over time. If you have a specific orientation preference, email info@docos.us before ordering to see if a custom petal angle is possible.
How do I install it — do I need an electrician?
It’s a hardwired wall sconce — mounts to a standard wall junction box. Have a licensed electrician install: the metal backplate sits flush against the wall, and the bulb socket is recessed inside the petal fan, so handling during install needs care to avoid bending the painted petals. Confirm your junction box is positioned where you want the sconce centered before drilling new mounting holes — the square shape means alignment matters more than for a round sconce. Indoor, dry locations only.
Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
Powder room (no shower) — yes, as long as the room is dry-zone. Full bathroom with shower or tub — not recommended; the fixture is not damp-rated, and persistent moisture will cause the powder-coat finish to chip and the metal underneath to oxidize over time. Outdoor or covered porch — no by default. If you need a damp-rated version, email info@docos.us before ordering to check availability.
