The Lunette Pendant Light is an updated-traditional pendant — a two-tier pleated fabric shade in soft cream with dark contrast trim, topped by a turned wood finial on a black cord. Three sizes (15.7″, 19.7″, or 23.6″ wide × 13.8″ tall). One E26 bulb. For a dining room, kitchen island, breakfast nook, bedroom, foyer, or entryway. Which size should I pick for my space?

Pick by the surface or space below. Small (15.7″) works for a breakfast nook, foyer, beside a bed, or in a kid’s room. Medium (19.7″) is the most popular — single over a small dining table, or in pairs over a kitchen island. Large (23.6″) works over a 6-seat dining table, large kitchen island, or formal entryway. Hang the bottom 30–36 inches above a kitchen island or dining table. For 2–3 pendant clusters over a kitchen island, space them roughly 24–30 inches apart center to center.

How is it lit — one bulb or several?

Single bulb (1 × E26). The socket sits inside the lower fabric tier; light fills the lower cylinder first and rises through the wider upper drum, so both tiers glow softly when lit. Use LED only, max 9–12W, 2700–3000K warm white. No incandescent or halogen — they run hot near pleated fabric and risk discoloring or scorching the inner liner over time. A standard A19 LED at 9W is plenty for the Small and Medium sizes; the Large works well with a 12W LED if you want a brighter spread.

Can the fabric shade be cleaned or replaced?

For routine dusting, use a soft microfiber cloth or vacuum brush attachment on low — with the bulb off and the pendant cool. For spot stains, dab gently with a barely-damp cloth and mild soap; do not soak or submerge the shade, and do not use bleach or solvents on the cream fabric. The pleated fabric is not designed to be removed and rewashed at home; if a section is damaged, email info@docos.us about replacement-shade availability. Avoid hanging directly over a kitchen range — cooking grease and steam discolor fabric shades over time.

How do I install it — can I shorten the cord?

It’s a hardwired pendant — mounts to a standard ceiling junction box. The black fabric-wrapped cord is shortenable during install; a licensed electrician can cut and re-terminate the cord to your preferred hang height. Hang the bottom 30–36 inches above a kitchen island or dining table, or 7 feet above the floor in an open room. The fixture is single-bulb and lightweight enough for a standard 50 lb-rated junction box.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

Powder room (no shower) — yes, dry-zone only. Full bathroom with shower steam — not recommended; pleated fabric absorbs moisture and the wood finial can swell or split over repeated humidity cycles. Outdoor or covered porch — no; fabric shades degrade quickly in any outdoor environment. Don’t hang directly over a kitchen range either — cooking grease and steam discolor cream fabric fast. Indoor, dry, low-humidity rooms only.
