The Marova Pendant Light is an oval fabric drum pendant — a metal frame wrapped in oatmeal-cream linen, with vertical jute-rope ribs running pole-to-pole around the shade, each marked with a small X knot at the equator. A brass-tone twisted cord drops from a dark-bronze canopy. One E26 socket inside. Two sizes — 11.8″ or 15.7″ wide — for a dining table, kitchen island, breakfast nook, foyer, or bedside. What bulb does it take, and is it included?

The Marova uses 1 × E26 (medium screw base) and ships with a bulb included. Use LED only — not incandescent or halogen. The fabric shade and natural jute both prefer a cool bulb. Stay in the 2700–3000K warm white range for a soft dining or bedside glow that matches the cream linen tone.

Are the jute ropes and X knots real, or printed?

They’re real natural jute rope, hand-tied. Each rib runs pole-to-pole around the shade and is finished with an X knot at the widest point. Because the ribs and knots are tied by hand, spacing, knot tightness, and rope thickness vary slightly piece to piece — characteristic of natural-fiber finishing, not a defect. New jute may smell faintly grassy for a few days and shed a small amount of fiber in the first weeks — this settles down quickly.

Can I install it myself or do I need an electrician?

It’s a hardwired ceiling fixture mounting through the dark-bronze canopy to a junction box, with a brass-tone twisted cord that can be shortened during install. We recommend a licensed electrician for a safe, code-compliant install — especially because the linen drum needs careful handling so the jute ribs and knots aren’t crushed during mounting.

How do I clean the linen shade and jute ropes?

Dust the linen shade with a soft brush or low-suction vacuum using the upholstery attachment. For small marks, spot-test a barely-damp white cloth with mild soap on an inside seam first; don’t soak. Dust the jute ropes and knots with a soft dry brush only — jute doesn’t like moisture. Wipe the dark-bronze canopy with a dry soft cloth. Always turn off the circuit at the breaker before cleaning.
