Overview

The Ravela Pendant Light is a handwoven rattan pendant with a distinctive wave-edged scalloped rim that breaks the usual circular silhouette of a rattan shade. Short and wide rather than dome-shaped — joined to a brass-toned canopy by a brass-toned collar.

Hardwired install with adjustable hanging height. Bulb included — one E26 socket with an LED bulb pre-supplied. Dimmer-compatible. Compatible with both flat and sloped ceilings. Damp-rated for installation in covered moisture-prone rooms — a rare capability for handwoven rattan pendants.

Hardwired Pendant · Flexible Install Ravela mounts to a standard ceiling junction box. The canopy is included and hanging height is adjustable during install. We recommend a licensed electrician for the wiring step.

Can I install it in a bathroom?

Yes — Ravela is damp-rated, so installation is fine in bathrooms as long as the fixture is not in direct shower spray (the area directly above a tub or shower stall typically requires a wet-rated fixture). For most bathroom ceilings — over a vanity, in a powder room, in the main bathroom area away from the shower — Ravela works.

Can I install it on a sloped/vaulted ceiling?

Yes — Ravela is compatible with both flat and sloped ceilings. The canopy adapts to angled mounting, so vaulted living rooms, sloped-ceiling bedrooms, and A-frame spaces all work without needing a separate sloped-ceiling adapter kit.

What bulb should I use? Is one included?

Yes — Ravela ships with an LED bulb included, so it works the moment you finish installing it. The socket is a standard E26 medium screw base, so any E26 LED bulb at a US hardware store will fit when replacement is needed. We recommend a 2700K–3000K LED to complement the warm rattan tone. For dimming, use a dimmable LED bulb with an LED-rated wall dimmer.

Can I get a longer cord?

Yes — if your ceiling height needs a longer drop (vaulted rooms, double-height entryways), contact us before placing the order and we can prepare an extended cord version. The hanging height can also be fine-tuned during install to suit your ceiling.

Will every shade look identical to the photo?

Close, but not identical. Each rattan shade is woven by hand — wave spacing along the rim and weave density vary subtly between pieces. The overall scalloped silhouette and natural rattan tone stay consistent; the surface texture is what varies.

How do I clean the rattan shade?

Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on low suction with the brush attachment. Avoid water or chemical cleaners — wet rattan can swell, dry uneven, and lose shape. Even though the fixture is damp-rated, that refers to the electrical components — the rattan still benefits from regular dusting and dry cleaning.
