If you are needing a lamp to provide more lighting in a room but not direct lighting then Id suggest this lamp. Its quite good.

It lights up my room soooooo much. Im so happy with it. I love it.

I previously had a halogen bulb torch lamp for years which finally died. It made the room super hot and often had a burning smell because of all the insects, dust, and other debris that would land on the top of the halogen bulb. When it died, I knew I would try a LED type lamp. After looking at all of the reviews, I selected this lamp and I've never been happier.

It works great as an over couch or table light but not to brighten up a large room when pointed upwards but is great for mood lighting. Maybe getting two or more would be better for large rooms.
