Inspiration

The Merovin Flush Mount Ceiling Light comes from the way an eclipse looks part way through, one disc sliding across another rather than sitting neatly inside it. A stone crescent and a wood crescent overlap behind the lit panel, each stopping short of the other so the edges stay visible from below. Nothing is centred, which is what keeps a round fixture on a flat ceiling from reading as a plain trim ring. The shallow build suits Japandi, organic modern, and warm-minimalist bedrooms, hallways, and entryways.

Key Features

Offset Stone and Wood Arcs
A yellow travertine arc and a solid wood arc sit behind the panel at different offsets, so both edges read from below.
5cm Low Profile
Only 5cm/2″ deep at every diameter, which keeps it clear of head height on a standard 8-foot ceiling.
Acrylic Diffuser Panel
The integrated LED sits behind a frosted acrylic disc, so the whole face lights evenly rather than showing hot spots.

FAQ

What sizes does it come in?
Three, all 5cm/2″ deep: Ø 34cm/13.4″ at 30W, Ø 46cm/18.1″ at 36W, and Ø 56cm/22″ at 52W.
What is the light source?
An integrated LED behind the acrylic panel, rated 30W, 36W, or 52W depending on the size, at 3000K warm light. It is built in rather than a replaceable bulb, so nothing needs to be bought separately.
How is it mounted?
It mounts flush to the ceiling and sits only 5cm/2″ below it, which works in rooms with low or standard ceilings where a pendant would hang too far down.
What is it made of?
Yellow travertine and solid wood arcs around a frosted acrylic diffuser.

No. 02 — The Material

A stone that took two thousand years to arrive.

Travertine forms over millennia as mineral-rich spring water layers into solid stone. No two sections look alike — each piece carries its own trace of pores, veins, and color drift. The irregularities you see aren't imperfections. They're the stone's fingerprint.

No. 03

Four reasons
travertine feels different.

A growing number of US homes are swapping cold metal and glossy finishes for materials with real presence. Here's what makes this stone hold up to that shift — and why it holds up in a room.

01 / 04

One-of-a-kind texture

Every piece carries its own pattern of pores, veins, and soft color shifts. Shaped over millennia — not printed, not stamped. The lamp on your table is, by nature, unique.

02 / 04

Warm, lived-in tones

Natural cream, sand, and honey hues that read warm in any light — from morning sun to the last lamp-lit hour of the evening. The color the stone brings to the room doesn't read dated five years later.

03 / 04

Real stone, real weight

You feel it the moment you pick one up. Solid in the hand, grounded on the table. Nothing hollow, nothing plastic trying to imitate the surface of something it isn't.

04 / 04

Built to age well

Travertine softens beautifully with time. A lamp today, a piece that looks even better in ten years. The kind of purchase that earns its price instead of dating itself.

No. 04 — On Craft

"Every lamp is cut from a single block of natural travertine, then hand-finished until the surface is smooth to the touch but still honest about what it is — real stone, not composite, not resin."

No. 05 — Placement

Where travertine lighting belongs.

Each room has a spot that changes when a piece of stone lands in it. Three placements we keep seeing work.

No. 06 — Film Reel — Stone & Light

See how the stone
warms the light.

A diffused, honey-toned glow — softened once by the shade, and again by the stone around it.
