The Selene Gourd Alabaster Wall Sconce is a hardwired wall sconce built around a vertical brass rod that strings together four graduated alabaster spheres and tops them with a single alabaster globe shade housing an E14 bulb. The alabaster balls increase in size from top to bottom, giving the column a weighted, grounded silhouette — each stone sphere shows its own natural veining in cream and warm grey. The rod, wall plate, and connectors are all brass in a satin or brushed finish. At W 5.5″ × H 22.8″ (14 × 58 cm), it has a narrow footprint but enough vertical presence to read clearly on a bedroom wall, hallway, or either side of a bathroom mirror. The alabaster globe shade at the top diffuses the E14 bulb with a natural stone translucency. A natural stone and brass combination that fits a mid-century modern bedroom, Art Deco-influenced hallway, or transitional primary bathroom where you want a sconce with material texture rather than a plain metal arm. Hardwired; professional installation recommended.
One size: W 14 cm × H 58 cm (W 5.5″ × H 22.8″). The narrow width and tall vertical profile work well in spaces where horizontal clearance is limited — hallways, either side of a bathroom mirror, or flanking a headboard. Hang it so the center of the fixture sits at roughly 60–65″ from the floor for typical eye-level ambient use, or higher on either side of a mirror.

Alabaster can't be moulded or mass-pressed — it is cut. Every shade starts as solid stone and is worked by hand until it's thin enough to glow evenly. That's why no two are the same.
Blocks of natural alabaster are extracted and graded for translucency and the quality of their veining before any cutting begins.
Each block is sliced and turned or carved to form, then hollowed so a bulb can sit behind the stone wall.
The walls are sanded to an even thickness so light passes through without dark patches, then polished by hand.
Fitted with brass hardware and wired to a 120V, ETL-compliant build, then inspected before it ships.

Alabaster is a solid, fine-grained stone with real weight — not fragile in normal use. It is softer than marble, so avoid knocks and harsh chemical cleaners. A soft, dry cloth keeps it looking right for years.
No — and that's by design. Each shade is cut from natural stone, so the veining and tone are unique to your piece. The product photo shows a representative example; yours will have its own distinct veining.
Use a 2700K warm-white LED to bring out the honeyed, candle-like tone in the stone. Cooler bulbs make alabaster look gray. Most fixtures take an E26 or G9 base — check the product page — and dim with a compatible LED dimmer.
