I bought this for by my couch so I could read at night. Its the perfect height.It can be very bright or soft, and doesnt blind anyone sitting nearby (like my husband).
Its stable enough for my location but probably not in the center of the room where it could be bumped into. I am never a big fan of the lamps that twist together because they always inevitably have wobble issues, so far this one does not. Overall I am happy and I would buy another if we needed one.
This lamp is exactly what I hoped it would be. It is perfect for my sewing room and provides enough light so I can comfortably sew in the evening.
We dont have overhead lights in our living room, my wife loves to read. This lamp fits behind the couch, provides great lite
