Inspiration

The Rosso Floor Light is an articulating-arm floor lamp on a North American white-ash pole, with an aluminum counterbalance arm, electroplated pivot joints, and a 12.6″ (32 cm) baked-finish aluminum dome shade. The arm pivots at two points and the head tilts — for reading over a sofa, task light at a desk, or an ambient downlight in a living-room corner. On/off switch on the shade. 1 × E26 socket. Five shade colors. Mid-century modern, Bauhaus-inspired, and modern industrial style.

Good To Know

!
1 × E26 bulb included · plug-in · some assembly · indoor dry locations only Ships in pieces: weighted aluminum-alloy base, solid white-ash wood pole, two-section aluminum arm with electroplated knuckles, and a baked-finish aluminum dome shade. Set the pole into the base, mount the arm, fit the shade, and route the cord along the back of the pole. The arm has two pivot points plus a tiltable head — tighten the knuckles for the angle you want. Plug-in cord to a standard 120V wall outlet; on/off switch is on the shade. Ash wood grain and tone may vary slightly piece to piece. Indoor, dry locations only — not for damp areas, bathrooms with showers, or covered outdoor spaces.
Key Features

Two-Point Articulating Arm
Aluminum arm with two pivot joints (15.7″ + 23.6″ sections) and a tiltable head — reach over a sofa, swing in over a desk, or aim straight down for ambient pooling light.
Ash Pole + Ribbed Aluminum Base
Solid North American white-ash wood pole (39.4″ tall) seated in a cast aluminum-alloy disc base (13″ / 33 cm diameter) with concentric ribbing — the weight keeps the lamp upright when the arm is fully extended.
Baked-Finish Aluminum Dome Shade
12.6″ (32 cm) spun aluminum dome with a dust-free baked-paint finish. On/off switch is integrated into the shade housing; bulb sits inside the dome.

Use Case

The Rosso pairs a fixed vertical pole with an articulating arm that reaches up to about 39″ out from the pole (40 + 60 cm of arm segments), so you can park the base behind a sofa or armchair and bring the shade out over a reading position without moving the lamp. The aluminum dome aims downward, giving a focused pool of light rather than a wide ambient wash — reading over a couch, task light at a desk, accent downlight on a console. The shade-mounted switch keeps the cord run clean.

The white-ash pole and ribbed aluminum base read as mid-century modern, modern industrial, or Bauhaus-inspired — pairing with leather sofas, walnut and oak furniture, brushed metal accents, and concrete floors. Use the Cream shade for a low-key, blends-in look; pick the Lemon Yellow, Cobalt, or Vermillion shades as a statement color block in a neutral room; Black sits between — visible but subdued, and pairs cleanly with black-framed windows, leather, and dark hardware. Plug into a standard outlet, no electrician required. For custom requests or trade pricing, email info@docos.us.

FAQ

How adjustable is the arm?
The arm has two pivot joints (between the pole and a 23.6″/60 cm lower section, and between that and a 15.7″/40 cm upper section) plus a tiltable head. Maximum horizontal reach from the pole is roughly 39″ when the arm is fully extended. Tighten the electroplated knuckles for the position you want; the joints hold under the shade’s weight.
What bulb does it take, and is it included?
The Rosso uses 1 × E26 (medium screw base) and ships with a bulb included. For a soft reading-corner glow, stay in the 2700–3000K warm white range. A low-heat LED is the safer choice over an incandescent — the shade sits close to the bulb. Check the wattage rating on the socket label inside the shade before swapping in a higher-wattage replacement.
How is the base — will it tip over when the arm is extended?
The base is a 13″ (33 cm) cast aluminum-alloy disc with concentric ribbing — deliberately weighted to counterbalance the arm when fully extended. Keep the base flat on a hard floor or low-pile rug, and don’t hang anything off the shade. On thick or uneven rugs the lamp can rock; a hard surface gives the most stable footing.
Can I assemble it myself?
Yes — this is customer assembly, not hardwired install. Ships in pieces: base, white-ash pole, two-section arm, shade. Connect the pieces with the supplied hardware (hand tools only), route the cord along the back of the pole, fit the shade, and plug into a wall outlet. No electrician needed.
How do I clean the wood, aluminum, and baked-finish shade?
Wipe the aluminum arm and base with a soft cloth and a touch of mild soap if needed. The white-ash pole takes a dry or barely-damp cloth — avoid soaking. The baked-finish shade takes a microfiber cloth and gentle pressure. Avoid abrasive sponges, ammonia glass cleaners, and harsh solvents — they can scratch the electroplating and dull the baked finish. Always unplug before cleaning.
