Capelle Floor Light

The Capelle Floor Light is a tall floor lamp with a slim black bamboo-style stem rising from a round black wood base to a wide capiz-shell coolie shade — the pearly shell shade of the Capelle Flush Mount sized up, finished with a walnut wood disc and turned finial at the top. The shade is 19.7″ (50 cm) across and opens downward, and the lamp is 65″ (165 cm) tall, with a 59″ (150 cm) plug-in cord. It takes one E27 bulb (included). The Capelle's wide capiz-shell coolie shade opens downward, so the light pools down through the pearly shell — a soft, ambient glow rather than a sharp reading beam — good as a corner lamp beside a sofa or armchair, a bedside floor lamp, or background lighting in a living room or studio. At 65″ (165 cm) tall, it sits at standard floor-lamp height so the shade reaches above a seated head and lights the surrounding area without glare.

The black bamboo-style stem, dark walnut top, and pearly shells give it a transitional, coastal, vintage look — pairs well with rattan, woven, or wood furniture and warmer rooms.
