The Filamento Chandelier

Where Light Lingers,
and Wood Remembers.

A suspended line of hand-shaped walnut beads — luminous, weightless, alive with the quiet pulse of warm light. Not a fixture. A gesture.

What Makes Us Different

Lighting that does more than illuminate.

At Docos, we believe a lamp should bring something rare into a room — a sense of stillness, a slower hour, a memory of warmth. Each piece is shaped slowly, by hand, in deference to materials older than us.

From the first cut of timber to the last pass of polish, every Docos fixture is built to speak softly and stay long. We design objects that age with grace, not against it — pieces meant to be loved by the second owner, and the third.

FAS-Grade North American Walnut

The aristocrat of woods, shaped by patient hands.

The Filamento's body is turned from the highest grade of North American Black Walnut — a timber long called the "aristocrat of woods" for its ribboned grain, deep chocolate tone, and the way it warms beneath touch.

Each bead is hand-sanded by our artisans until the surface yields like silk. What you feel isn't lacquer or veneer. It is the wood itself — the slow record of a tree, made into something close.

"You don't notice it as wood. You notice it as warmth."
The Making

Three hands. One unbroken line.

Every Filamento passes through three pairs of skilled hands before it leaves our atelier. No automation. No shortcuts. Only the rhythm of craft, repeated until the piece is right.

01Step One
Wood selection

The Choosing

Each plank is hand-selected for its grain story — only timber with quiet figure and even tone is allowed to continue. The rest is set aside. We refuse what does not move us.

02Step Two
Precision shaping

The Turning

On the lathe, each bead is coaxed — not forced — into its sphere. The artisan reads the grain as it spins, adjusting pressure by feel. Every curve must follow the wood's own intention.

03Step Three
Finishing and polishing

The Finishing

Dozens of passes — from coarse grit to a near-impossible smoothness — until the surface holds light like skin. A natural oil seals what sanding revealed: the wood, fully itself.

The Filamento Chandelier

A higher standard of living, suspended.

Crafted entirely from solid wood, the Filamento celebrates what nature has already perfected — grain, weight, the unrepeatable signature of every tree. No two beads catch the light the same way.

Offered in three sizes and three finishes, it settles effortlessly into kitchens, dining rooms, and open living spaces. A piece restrained enough for Scandinavian quiet, warm enough for Japandi stillness, refined enough for American modern.

The Light, Diffused

A glow that softens everything it touches.

Light passes through the wood's grain before it reaches the room — gentling the edges of furniture, deepening the shadows, slowing the pace of an evening. This is not brightness. It is atmosphere.

Whether suspended above a dinner that runs late or a kitchen island that hosts the morning, the Filamento offers what few fixtures can: presence without insistence.

"It feels less like turning on a lamp,
and more like opening a window
onto a quieter hour."

Engineered to Outlast

Quiet on the outside. Considered within.

Beneath the warmth of solid walnut sits a precision-engineered integrated LED — rated for 50,000 hours of life. That is roughly seventeen years of evenings. In all that time, you will not change a bulb.

Select models include TRIAC dimming, allowing the light to move with the moment — from the soft amber of a slow dinner to the crisp clarity of a working morning.

An object meant to be lived with.

Not a fixture. Not a feature. A companion to your evenings — soft enough to forget, present enough to be missed.
