O Kiely é construído a partir de duas formas que não combinam perfeitamente: um abat-jour de vidro redondo assente num cilindro de cor reta, um macio e outro brusco. Essa descombinação é todo o design — o olhar continua a mover-se entre ambos em vez de se fixar. As pequenas esferas à volta da base vieram de um conjunto de blocos de construção infantis que tínhamos na secretária na altura, e permaneceram porque quebravam a geometria o suficiente. A ausência de cabo foi uma restrição deliberada: tinha de ser um candeeiro que pudesse pegar.

A few questions we hear most often about how the charging function works day to day.
Most cases up to 5mm thick charge without issue. Very thick cases, magnetic wallets, or cases with metal plates can weaken the connection — remove the case if charging feels slow or inconsistent.
Yes. The touch-dimmer and the charging base run on separate circuits, so adjusting brightness or switching between the three light settings never interrupts charging.
Yes. The lamp functions as a normal light at all times — the charging base only activates power delivery when it senses a compatible device placed on it.
Wireless models use a Qi charging pad built into the base — just set your phone down. USB models have physical USB-A and USB-C ports, which also charge tablets, e-readers, and earbuds cases at full speed.
